Ok, so I'm better today.

Hey everybody,

I'm sorry about yesterday. I was in a horrible mood and just wanted to forget everything that was going on.

Well, today I figured out that my issue that I'm having problems with is going to be resolved. It's going to be ontime, and a good thing. So I'm very happy about that.

I just want to say also how truly blessed I am. I have an amazing church and home family. My church has accepted me for who I am even though they didn't have to. I came up here a year ago, and in that year, so much has happened to me. And it didn't matter what was going on in my life big or small, my church was right there to back me up. It's incredible.

My own family has been awesome too. My mom her husband have been there rock solid when I needed something to fall back on. My mom will talk to me and just be there to listen to me no matter what I have to say. I know that she wants what's best for me, and right now, she's helping me in that area. I love her to death and can never repair her for what she's done for me and in my life.

Well, I woke up this morning with the worst headache I've had in a very long time. It's still going on and it's like 6 hours later. It's no fun at all. It's right behind my eyeballs which makes me think that it's sinus related. I took a Mucinex DM and 4 ibuprofen, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I'm on the diet still, so that may be what it is, but I've eaten a good bit today, nothing that would affect my head I don't think. I don't know, I just hope it goes away.

Ok, I can't tell you what's going on, but just know that God is awesome. That's the one message I want to convey to each and every one of you.........GOD IS AWESOME!! He works in ways that I could never imagine, and he's proved it over and over. My financial problems are soon about to subside and everything's going to ok. Go listen to the song by Hillsong called, "Salvation is Here". It's an upbeat song, that is the perfect description of what I'm feeling right now. IT'S GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT, CAUSE I KNOW MY GOD SAVED THE DAY, AND I KNOW HIS LOVE NEVER CHANGED, AND I KNOW THAT HE'LL MAKE A WAY FOR ME........IT'S GOING TO BE ALL RIGHT!!!!

I need to quit skipping days.

Hey guys,

I'm not really in the mood to be doing this right now, but I'm going to do it anyway, because later on down the road, I know I'll want to read about it.

I've had a crappy but good day. Good because I started my diet and went and walked 2 and a half miles at the park. It was great, fresh air, nice breeze, it was great. It also started snowing while I was at work today which was cool.

But while I was at work I got a phone call, and found out that I owe money. WOOHOO!! Wow, I'm so stressed to the max financially right now. Bottom line with out going into to many details, I'm trying to look for a cheaper place to live. I don't know if I'll find one, but we'll see.

Had a good Easter. My song went great, everybody was crying. Ate dinner at Jared and Jana's with the family. It was good.

Ok, I'm going now. I'm just not wanting to even think about all the financial stuff, and reading it isn't helping. Ok, bye.

Stephen

Tomorrow's EASTER!!!!

Ok, today was a long/short day if that makes any sense. I woke up at 2pm because I was up all night being sick (not fun). But then, when I woke up, I felt great. I was not sick at all. I don't know, bodies are weird like that. You throw up, you feel better.......go figure. But anyway, what I mean by a long/short day is that even though I woke up late in the afternoon, I did so much and went so many different places that it seemed like a long day.

So I started off by going to Helen. Well, I went through Helen on past and up into the mountains just a little bit. I pulled over on the side of the road and did a video blog at a really secluded part of the river. It was great. There was nobody around, just me, and God. I think that was the reason I wanted to get away. Because, you can always go somewhere but someone usually knows where you are. So I went out in the middle of nowhere, didn't tell anybody I was going, and left my phone in the car. It was just me and God. Nobody could get in contact with me. It was great.

I started coming back up the hill towards my car though and got scared because there were two guys standing at the top of the hill in uniforms. It turned out to be the National Forest Patrol or Rangers or something, but they thought I was fishing. They saw my car on the side of the road and thought that someone had gone down to fish and apparently you can't do that in that particular river this time of year. So thank goodness, I didn't decide to get away and go fishing. But I told them that I was just taking pictures, and they were fine with it. It was just weird, because I was halfway up the hill, completely out of breath from trying to climb the hill in flipflops and then leaned back on a tree to rest, and saw them. I almost screamed it scared me so bad. I didn't hear them coming or anything, I just looked up and BAM there they were.

But anyway, I went from Helen up to The Mark of the Potter on Hwy197, about 16 miles from where I live and did some more video and then kept going and eventually made it up to Clayton and Tallulah Falls. So I traveled a TON today. For no apparent reason except just to get away from it all. And let me tell you, it was nice.

I had a great day, and can't wait for tomorrow!! Easter!!!!! I'm going to wake up at 6am because they have a Sunrise Service on Tower Mountain overlooking the city, and then they have breakfast at the church at 8am, and then Sunday School at 10, and then church at 11. So I'm going to have a BUSY day tomorrow. I'm going to bring my camera along and hopefully get some good stuff for you guys.

Well, I think that's about it.......I'll definetely come back tomorrow and let you know how my Easter was!!!! Talk to you later.

So I missed a day......

Hey everyone,

So let's see, I missed a day and so much has gone on. Well more or less. Hold on one sec, I'm going to go look when the last time I posted was, so I can fill you in on what's happened.

Ok, so I missed two days. Wow, I didn't mean to......sorry everybody. OH WAIT....I remember what happened......youtube was being stupid and doing site maintenance so I couldn't upload that video blog for that day of me in the car which upset me, and I forgot to do the written blog. And last night was Thurs. night and I always go to Kareoke every Thurs. So I forgot to do it then. Ok, so let's see...........

Wenesday, went to church and got the job.

Thursday I worked that morning but was late to work by like 10 mins because I overslept....oops. It's ok though, I ended up staying until 8 o'clock that night even though I was only supposed to work until 5. But....one of the girls came in and said that she couldn't work like an hour before shift, so Fabricio my manager asked me if I could stay and I said yes of course. Anything to make extra money.......I'm there. So I worked until 8 and then got off and Debra and I ate down there at Pueblo's.

I was mad though because I had ordered an off the menu item and it took FOREVER to get it out to me...........and they said it was because they were busy, but they really weren't. I mean I had just gotten off of shift for heaven's sake. I knew they weren't busy, they just didn't want to do it. It's this italian sausage that is to die for. It's really, really good. They put it in the "Paella" which is a spanish jumbalya. It's awesome.

But anyway, after that we went to Sharky's for Kareoke (sorry, but I forgot the camera, so no video blog from last night, I was so mad that I forgot too). Now, when we go.......Debra doesn't like to get up and sing, so it's usually just me singing. Although at this particular restaurant they have a LOT of good singers that come, so it's nice. Debra and I always sit by ourselves so we can talk about the people singing. HAHA. But I put in my songs right away because we got there about nine o'clock and there was only about an hour left of kareoke. So I've been going long enough now to where the lady who runs it knows me pretty well, so she slipped me in the line up, and then after I sang, me and her did a duet. It was great.

I ended the night of singing with "Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy". It was fun, but crazy as always. I personally don't drink because I don't think it's a good thing, but wow, is it funny to make fun of the people who do. That's half the fun of going.

But then Debra and I went back upstairs to our apartments and we I got to meet one of the new guys in the building. He seems pretty nice, but it sounds like he's got a lot going on with work and everything. I liked him though, it was good to finally get to meet him.

Let's see.........today, Friday, I went to work and worked until 5. My friend Kaitlyn is up here visiting my sister, so I went over to my sister's house and hung out there for a while and ate supper with everybody. Diane, and Jana both got new cars today so I took a ride in Jana's and sat in Diane's. They are both Nissan Altimas. I really, really like them. Jana's is an 04' and Diane's (her mom) is an 08'. So they are both really nice. I'm jealous. haha.

After that, I drove around for a while, and suddenly had a car right on my bumper!! I was so mad that I pulled over and let him kind of pass, and then followed him. He ran into a ditch with his van nose first, and then took like 10 mins trying to get out. So in that time, I called the cops because I thought he would have to be drunk. So the cops came and caught him in another parking lot. It turns out he was just this old dude who was high on some drugs. Well at least that's one bad driver off the road.

But that was pretty much my past two days. Now I'm in my apartment with a serious headache for some reason, but I'll get over it. I'm going to take 4 ibuprofen and head off to bed. I don't have to work tomorrow, so I'm thinking about going somewhere and doing a video blog. I don't know where yet, but we'll see. Alright, talk to you later.

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, it's true.............I went to the interview today at Black Bear Dinner Theatre in Helen, and, I GOT THE JOB!!! I start training during there next show which starts next week. Wow, I'm so thrilled that I got this job. They pay $6.00 an hour to train and that will probably be like 2 or 3 nights, and then $3.00 an hour plus tips from there on out. BUT.....the guy who hired me told me that if you're a good waiter and know what you're doing, you'll never walk out with less than $100 for an 1 hour and 45 mins. THAT'S ALL YOU'RE ON THE FLOOR FOR.......1 hr, 45 mins!!!

For those of you who aren't servers or don't know much about it......generally, in a normal restaurant you make about $80 - $100 over the course of entire day pulling a double (depending upon the size of the restaurant). So to be able to make that much money in basically 2 hours is NUTS!! I can't wait. And all of you know that I love to sing and act and stuff, so maybe this is a foot in the door.......who knows??

But today was nuts........I did quite a bit of driving because after my interview I had to drive pretty much to Cleveland to go take a drug test, and then drive back to Helen to drop off the paperwork, and then back to Clarkesville, and then to church and back tonight. So I was in my car a lot..............And can I just say that I LOVE MY CAR!!! I was driving a truck for the longest time because some of the nicest people in the world let me borrow their truck for a couple of MONTHS free of charge and they took care of insurance and everything. I had to only pay for gas. It was amazing.

Then, after all this time, I never thought I would be able to give them their truck back just because I was having the hardest time saving money with rent and everything. So you guys are so not going to believe this, but one of the guys I sing in the choir with at church approached me one Wednesday. He said, "I heard that you had been driving the _____'s truck, and I don't know if you need one, but I have a car that I was thinking about donating to Cars for Christ because I have a new car, but if you want, I'll just GIVE you my car!!!" AAAAGGGGGHHHH!!!! What??!!???!!??!!?? Was I hearing him correctly?? He wants to GIVE ME A CAR??

Seriously guys, I broke down and started crying. It was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. Just for someone to give up themselves so selflessly, and help somebody else out blew my mind!! So now I am the extremely proud owner of a 1994 Volkswagen Passat GLX. Guys, this thing is NICE!! It's a five speed and gets 26 MPG!!!!! OMG!!! I went from 10mpg to 26!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. It's fully leather, has a sunroof, fully loaded.........and I know you're thinking (how fully loaded could a 94' be?) Ok, seriously, this thing has more gadgets and cool stuff on it than most new cars in today's market. I'm not even kidding. When it comes to making cars, the Germans got it down pat.

So anyway, I know I kind of got sidetracked there, but I had to get that off my chest. I am so grateful, and will forever be in debt to both of those families.

Well, you definetely need to go check out my video blog at www.youtube.com/StephenHortonBlog. It's awesome. I'm still posting, but right now they're doing stupid sight maintenance or something and I can't upload my video from today, but tomorrow I will have an AWESOME video. Because every Thursday, I go to Kareoke at Sharky's here on the square. It's so much fun and I go with my good friend Debra who is HILARIOUS!! I mean, she's so funny. I'll get her to tape me singing a little bit.

Ok guys, I'm going to run, but keep checking back for updates!!

Good Day at Work, and the Talk!!

Ok, so I have to start off by saying that I am sorry. A couple of days ago, I posted about getting to go drive Nascars at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Well, in that post, I said that my sister and I had some problems on the way down and it resulted in a fight. Well, I was confronted about putting that up on the internet by someone I respect more than anyone on this earth, and I have decided to take down that portion of the post. The person said that it was not tactful to "air dirty laundry" about private issues, and they were right. So to my sister, I apologize.

Ok, over done with, finished. Forgotten as far as the East is from the West.

Oh my gosh, has anyone every heard that song by Casting Crowns "East to West". (I think that's the title at least). But anyway, that is an incredible talking about how even when we screw up really bad, if we ask for forgiveness, God forgets it forever and never remembers it. So I think that's pretty cool.

But as far as today and work goes, it was pretty uneventful. I made about $65, which isn't bad for one night, especially when we had FOUR servers. We had FIVE.....but one wanted to go home because she wasn't making any money. Thank goodness she went home, otherwise none of us would have made any money. But it was good. I didn't mess up any orders or have any complaints which is what I consider a good night.

I talked to my manager about me taking on another part-time job at the dinner theatre and he was really cool with it. I mean he has 10 servers on staff which is a TON for a restaurant our size. But you know what, I don't blame him at all, because the way some of these people work, they will call in an hour before they have to be there, and he has to find someone fast!!

Let's see, OH, you really need to go check out today's video blog.....it's HILLARIOUS!!! This was by far the best one yet I think, I kept on cracking up the entire time. And I was so stopped up in my nose it was horrible........but go check it out!!! www.youtube.com/StephenHortonBlog.

I keep meaning to mention that I also have an instant messenger account with Yahoo! My screename is sjhorton87. So if you have Yahoo Messenger and would like to talk, if you ever see me on, feel free to chat. I would love to meet new people. I'm pretty easy to talk to.

Well, I guess that's it for now.........yeah, I guess it is, I can't think of anything else.

OH WAIT.........yes I did. Ok, so my friends that used to work with me (well one of them did), they moved back up to South Carolina!!! She called in and said she quit and that she was moving! It was crazy. But the craziest part is that her boyfriend bought my old car from me a while back. Well, I still have the car, the key, and the title!! So what do I do?? I'm going to try and get in contact with him on his phone, because her phone doesn't have any minutes. But I just thought that was crazy. I mean, does he want the car, does he not want the car? Do I call the police and have it impounded? What do I do? I signed the title over to him, so it's not like I could sell it again. I don't know. I'm going to go to the police station tomorrow and ask them.

But anyway, I will talk to all of you later.

Revival Was GREAT!!!!

Ok, I don't know if anyone of you will know what I'm talking about, but when I'm sitting in church, it is SO easy for me to get distracted. I'm like the ADHD poster boy!! Seriously, it's pitiful. But for some reason tonight when I went to church I was captivated. I had never heard Terry Rice (the pastor who was doing the revival) speak before. By the time I came to Level Grove he was no longer preaching there. But anyway, he was one of the best preachers that I have ever heard.

Every time my mind even got close to drifting, he would tell a funny story or something and grasp my attention right back. It was like he knew what was going on in my head. It was crazy. His message was awesome too. It was about how we as christians don't share about salvation enough. Which is completely true. We pass by people everyday and don't know where they will be going when they die, and on some level, if we don't share, then we are enabling them to die and go to hell.

It really opened my eyes, and reminded me why I was put here on earth, and that's to share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Ok, so I'm going to get off of my soap box now, but I thought that was really cool and that I should share that.

But we went to this church and it ended up being in Commerce, GA which is roughly about 30 minutes from where I live. It wasn't to terribly long of a trip, but it wasn't short either. We went and sang, and on the way out of the building when the service was over, people kept telling me what a great voice I had. Which I thought was strange because I didn't do a solo tonight, so I was like, "How on earth do they know what I sound like?" Ok, so this is embarrasing, but it turns out I'm a loud singer!! Nobody has ever really told me, but because of my range and the higher notes that I can hit, I'm the only one on those notes (which is fine, because they are good notes) it's just that since I am the only one on them, they can pick me out of the crowd.

So that is very embarrasing. I don't know if I'm going to start singing softer or not, but it was something for me to think over. haha. I think also, it was because I'm used to singing at my church which is a big church, and this was a much smaller church. I mean, you really didn't even need a microphone. It was out in the boondocks. haha.

OH.....speaking of "Boondocks"........does anyone know the group Little Big Town?? They do that song called "Boondocks" and they're a country group?? Ok, well anyway, it's kind of cool, because the blonde headed girl in the group is my friend's sister. My friend is also the brother of my pastor's wife. So they're all related, and she actually came to church a couple weeks back. I didn't know because I was in the Dominican Republic, but I thought that was cool.

What's that game that people play?? Like, Five Levels to Fame or whatever? I don't know, but I thought, hey, I could win!!! hahaha.

But anyway, I'm getting tired and I think I might be heading off to bed soon. So I'm going for now, but I'll write some more tomorrow. Bye Y'all!!!

Live for Him,
Stephen

Going to Revival and New Video Blog

Hey guys,

I just thought I'd drop by real quick and let y'all know what was going on with me today. Right now I'm sitting at the restaurant where I work.....Pueblo's Mexican Cuisine. It's an awesome restaurant and the food is delicious. Seriously, the food is why I went and put in an application, but that's another story entirely.

Let's see, today at 6:30 I have a revival at some church up here and my choir is singing at it. I don't have a solo thank goodness because my throat is not doing so great, but I am happy to be going. The former pastor of my church is going to be the speaker at the revival tonight, so that should be fun.

I don't really have a lot to say right now. You definetely need to go check out my video blog today because it is hillarious!!!! www.youtube.com/stephenhortonblog. Just click on that link and it will take you there. Don't be afraid to subscribe either and leave some comments. It's 100% free and really, really easy to figure out. If you can't figure it out, let me know and I'll help.

Well, I gues that's it for now. Ummmm.......wow, that really is it. I guess I'll just check back in later on tonight and let you know how the revival went. Hopefully some lives will be changed. Let's hope. Alright guys, until then.

Video Blog!!

Hey everyone! Guess what??!!?? I HAVE VIDEO BLOG!!!!!!! Ok, this is so exciting, I'm going to start video blogging a lot of my stuff, which means that this may not get updated as often, but I'm not sure about that yet. I may still want to do both just as much. But when you just said everything in a video blog, it's hard going straight to typing the exact same thing. Much easier just to say, "Go check out my video blog!" I mean come on people.

But anyway, all you have to do is go to www.youtube.com/stephenhortonblog!!! And if you click what I just wrote, it will take you straight there!! I mean how easy is that??!!?? And you'll get all the great stuff from there, just on the blog.

The whole idea of a blog came from Ross the Intern. I think he is so hillarious and I have been watching his blogs, which by the way he calls "Talky Blogs" which I think is strangely hillarious. But it inspired me to do my own. So now that you've read all of this, you need to go over there and watch my talky blog.

Nothing really happened much today after I blogged this afternoon. I went to church at 4 for prasie team practice (and made it on time!!). You guys will learn from reading and watching that I am not the most punctual person. But we had practice in the praise team room because they had some big dinner tonight for Easter. Then I went outside and played a little toss football with Chad and Nathan. When the children's program started outside we went into the back of Chad's truck and talked awhile and it was great.

I enjoyed just talking. I never get to do that anymore. If I talk nowadays, it's usually because I have to because there is business at hand. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes, well........most of the time, I talk a lot about a whole lot of nothing. Ask anybody who knows me, I don't shutup. But I enjoy communicating with people.

But anyway, after church I went to Sonic and got a milkshake and low and behold who's parked next to me but Pastor Brian and the family. He has 4 girls. One new born and three younger girls, and the three younger ones are HILLARIOUS. They were hangin' out of every window and the sunroof of that suburban and it was to funny. We talked for about 20 mins I guess until the baby started crying and then they headed home.

So overall, it was a great day, and I need to go. But definetely GO CHECK OUT MY VIDEO BLOG!!!! You'll enjoy it. And I'm going to do it from different locations too, so be looking for that. Alright guys.

Stephen

We Got To Drive NASCARS!!!!!!!

WOW, I MEAN WWWWOOOOWWWW!!!!! I had so much fun yesterday.....I was exhausted because I hadn't slept, but I had more fun driving that car than I've ever had. Wow, it was awesome. I went the fastest out of my brother - in - law and my stepbrother, so that was a plus too. I went 140.752 mph!!! It was an amazing day.

When we went, we had to get fitted for our suits and helmets, and we watched the orientation video, and then they took us around the track a couple of times in a van showing us where to speed up and where to slow down. And then it was on, a couple of pictures, and we were off racing!! Oh man, the rush of starting out and taking corners at 125 mph was amazing. They had dvds that you could buy of your drive that showed you on the inside and then a camera that was faced at the track, and it had audio.......but they were $89.99!!!! I was like, "It ain't happin'." So we ended up not buying the dvd, and it ended up being a great day.

But I got home last night (and avoided a ticket thanks to my new radar detector) about 9 o'clock I think, and I went straight to bed and fell right to sleep. That never happens, I usually have to lay in bed for like 20 - 30 mins trying to convince myself that I need to go to bed. Or I get into that routine where I start saying, "Ok, if I go to bed now, I'll get this many hours of sleep." Anybody else do that or is it just me. I've done that since I was little. I don't know.

But the drive home yesterday was horrible because I was so tired. My brother-in-law wanted to drive my car home, but I said no because I knew that if he did, that would mean my sister was going to be in the car, and that just wasn't going to happen. But, the drive took forever. I have never gotten tired driving until yesterday. So I turned the cold air on full blast in my face, rolled down all the windows, and turned my Zune up full blast and started singing. That, plus my energy drink finally gave me some strength to go on.

So after all that saga, I'm finally home. I went to church this morning and it was great, and I have praise team practice this afternoon at 4. The kids are having an easter egg hunt tonight at church after a supper at 5, so that should be fun. But if I think about it, I'll probably get back on here and talk to y'all some more. Alright guys, until then.

Stephen

Update On Yesterday And Excitement For Today

Ok, so let me start off by saying that yesterday went nothing like I thought it was going to go. I went over to my sister's house, but we ended up not doing anything really except hang out and watch tv because it was raining, and we didn't want to drive 30-45 mins when we have to drive an hour and a half today. So we didn't do anything all afternoon except hang out really.

So then I get ready to go to work and head in and I get a call from work saying that they don't need me today. WHAT??!!?? On the best day for serving you don't need me?? It turns out that they had to many people scheduled and he knew that I wouldn't care if he just asked me not to come in and give me an extra day next week. Which, he was right, it was no big deal.

So after all that, I ended up going back over to my sister's house and we hung out until we went to the grocery store. Our church puts out a cookbook every year and my sister and my brother-in-law wanted to try this mexican recipe out of it. So we went to the grocery store and then came back to the house.

It really wasn't that eventful of a day, but it was nice having just a relaxing day with not much to do.

BUT..........Today we're going NASCAR DRIVING!!!! I'm so excited. Although I hope we get to do it, because it looks like it's going to rain all day. BOO!! But, my mom called me and let me know that we still have to go if we want to be eligible for a make up day. So we're all still going.

OH MY GOSH............by the way........did anyone see on the news how the "tornado" hit downtown Atlanta??? Is that crazy or what. They were showing all these pictures and video from inside the Georgia Dome where parts of the roof blew away and glass and limbs and trees all out in the streets. And that really stinks, because we were going to stop in Atlanta today on the way to the raceway.

But anyway, we've decided that we're going to go to the Mall of Georgia and other stores in Buford and just take our time getting down to the raceway. We don't have to be down there until 2pm but we're leaving at 8am. It's an hour and a half drive so you do the math.....we'll have plenty of time to do whatever.

Oh, and I wanted to mention that when I got home I went over to my friend's apartment down the hall and hung out until like 2am. We had a lot of fun watching Ross the Intern's different blogs (have you ever seen him?? SO FUNNY!!), and watching the live coverage of the downtown Atlanta storms. But I decided by about 2am that I just wasn't going to sleep, because I hate not having enough sleep, or falling asleep and then having to get up shortly after that. So I've been up all night and I'm posting this at 6:45am.

So thanks for reading guys, and I'll keep everybody posted on what else is happening with me.

Live for Him,
Stephen

Today Is Going To Be A Good Day

So today I'm pretty sure is going to be a good day. I didn't have to work this morning and don't have to go in until 4:30 tonight. The good thing about working as a server on Friday nights is that you get a LOT of tips. It is by far the best night to work if this is the line of business you are in. It makes sense to if you think about it. Friday is the day when people go out to eat because they've been at work all week and they know they don't have to wake up early the next morning. Saturday isn't as good as Friday because people have church the next morning and don't come out as much. But then again, I do live in a small bible-belt town.

But also today, I'm going up to Tallulah Falls Gorge with my sister and her husband. We're going to bring the dogs and have fun walking around and maybe going down in the gorge to walk. I've never been to the gorge per say, but I've been up in the city where the gorge is at. It's going to be fun though.

Oh, I meant to tell you guys yesterday, that I got a call from the guy at Black Bear Dinner Theatre and he wants to set up an interview with me on Wed. at 12:30!! I went about a month and a half ago to auditiion for a couple of musicals and plays and while I was there turned in my work resume. Well, the guy tried to call me the day that I was leaving the country to go to the Dominican Republic, so I couldn't set up an interview with him until after I got back. So he gave me a call yesterday and we're all set up.

They say that they want to make the dinner theatre something more of fine dining and stuff so they are looking for experienced servers that have good customer service skills and stuff. He said that they're going to start making the waiters and waitress' wear tuxedo shirts and bow-ties. So I'm very excited about the chance to be able to work in a formal setting like that. But I'm also excited because tips at places like that are NUTS!! They tip really big, so that's a HUGE plus!!

Oh, and another thing I wanted to tell you guys is that tomorrow, I'm going to the Atlanta Motor Speedway because I GET TO DRIVE A NASCAR!!!! I know, I know, I didn't even believe it at first. Apparently they have this thing called the "Richard Petty Driving Experience" and my mom and her husband bought me, my brother-in-law, and my step-brother all one for Christmas!! How awesome is that??!!?? So tomorrow morning I'm going to be driving down to Hampton (which is about an hour and a half from where I live now) to go drive a nascar. Wow, I'm still trying to convince myself that I really get to do it. haha.

Alright, so that's about it for now, but I'll keep you guys posted on what's going on later.

Stephen

My First One!!

Hey everyone!!!

Wow I'm excited that I have a place where I can go to post my thoughts and have other people read them so I can get some feedback. I'm not promising that I'll be able to do one of these everyday, but that's my goal. I know sometimes I'm just going to be to tired after work and everything to do this.

But I guess to start off, I'll introduce myself..... My name is Stephen, I live in the Northeast Georgia Moutains. I live in a town called Clarkesville. Right now I'm working at a restaurant called Pueblo's Mexican Cuisine. I really enjoy working there although it is hard sometimes as a christian man to work around people who are not christians.

I live all alone (don't feel to sorry for me, I like it), in an apartment overlooking the city square. It's an awesome apartment that is above a real estate office.

As I said before, I'm a christian and have been since I was 4 going on 5 years old. I love the Lord with all my heart and mind and soul. He's the reason I get up every morning, because trust me, if it weren't for him, I'm not so sure I could go on.

Right now, life for me is going good. Not great, but good. I have an awesome church family at Level Grove Baptist that love me very much and I love them the same in return. I have so many things to say, but I don't want to overwhelm everyone on the first blog. (Don't get me wrong, I know that not a lot of people will end up reading this, but this is mainly for me and for my thoughts).

For those of you who don't know me, or don't know, I love to sing. It is one of my great passions, and that is what I would love to end up doing in life for a living somewhere down the road. But for right now, it's waiting tables.

Well, thank you for reading this blog, and I will most certainly fill you in on the rest as time goes by. Thanks everyone, and I hope you have a GREAT day!!!

Live for Him,
Stephen
